One of the courses Alaina wanted to start using right away was Mediterranean Cooking from The Culinary Institute of America. There are 16 lessons included in this lecture and she decided she wanted to skip to lecture 11 Sharing Abundance: The Cuisine of Greece. She watched the lecture and took notes as the instructor went along. She made a list of ingredients she would need to make some of these dishes. When she started cooking she used the iPad to bring up the lecture to the section for the recipe and would pause it when she needed to while she cooked.
The first day she made the Greek recipe for roasted chicken.
To go along with it she decided to make cheesy biscuits and brussel sprouts mixed with cranberries that we have frequently. It all tasted wonderful.
We made chicken broth with our chicken bones and some vegetables. Alaina used that the next day to make a five ingredient Greek soup called avgolemeno. The soup was very easy for her to make and tasted really good.
I can't wait to see what she decides to make next.
