Even though my girls are getting bigger we still love beautifully illustrated books. The kind that you leave on your coffee table and just flip through when you have a minute to look at the pictures over and over. The Biggest Story written by Kevin Deyoung & illustrated by Don Clark is one of those books. Not only does it talk about the greatest story ever, but it is very beautiful to look at.
The Biggest Story takes us on a journey through the bible. It not only tells us bible stories, it shows us how these stories connect the Garden of Eden to Christ's death. It also encourages kids to keep believing and trusting in God, because the story isn't over yet.
My 10 year old really liked this book. The first time she read it & then she went back and spent a lot of time just looking at the illustrations. I hadn't read the book yet & the first thing she told me was how pretty this book is. She said I love all the colors & she has flipped through it several times since then.

My favorite story in the Bible is Naomi and Ruth. The provision of God in this story is encouraging and inspiring. However, I also love to geneaology of Jesus. It is amazing to see God's plan woven through unexpected people and circumstances.
It's hard to pick a favorite, but I've always loved the story of Joseph. It's great to see how the worst times in our lives can still be a part of God's master plan.
