Cake Anyone?

Years ago when I was a stay at home mom with one baby boy. We were stationed in Japan so we weren't around our family, we didn't go to church, we didn't belong to any groups. I had a lot of time on my hands. My husband had a coworker whose wife decorated cakes for people on base & they were getting ready to move back to the states. She suggested that I try decorating & she would recommend me to her regular customers. I took her advice & tried it. It came very easy to me & her people started calling right after she moved. I was up front with everyone about just starting to decorate, but they didn't have much choice & took their chance. I didn't charge very much at first either, but I got paid to learn.

Now 22 years later.......I am still decorating cakes. It has been a good home business for me & has allowed me the flexibility to do as many or as little cakes as I want. Plus it has been something I have been able to take with me every time we moved.

Here are some of the cakes I have made recently.

Baby Bottom Cake

 Monkey Cake

 Butterfly Cake
Frog Cake
This sheet cake had little frog all over it. The birthday girls loves frogs.
Retirement Cake
This was for a retirement. The family made up the saying & I added the picture.

Uno Cake
These cupcakes were for a first birthday party. The birthday boy got the uno cake & the guests got cupcakes.

C is for Cake!

Love these! My husband learned to decorate cakes in college. He even did our wedding cake. He doesn't do it on the side anymore because of the time commitment, but he does still do the kids' birthday cakes.
