Octopus Hotdogs

Today is day 2 of the 5 Days of Blogging with the Homeschool Crew. I enjoyed reading so many posts yesterday & I'll try to read as many today as I have time for.

We are reviewing Dive Into Diversity which is a DVD series to educate children about the amazing world in the ocean. My girls have watched this several times & Alaina has had to buy fish crackers every time we go to the store now. I thought it would be fun if we had an ocean lunch one day so we had plant life (macaroni & cheese), an octopus (hot dog), and a school of fish (crackers).

Amber prepared the macaroni and cheese & cooked the hot dogs. I cut the octopus tentacles since the hot dogs were hot. The eyes & the school of fish can be added by each child at the table.

Of course... once we got to the table our octopus & fish could talk.
WARNING!! Don't serve this if you don't want you kids playing with their food.

What about you.....can you think of food that can represent something from the ocean?
