Gratitude Challenge Day 13

Today I am so grateful for my light fixtures. When we were remodeling our house the dinning room had one light fixture that was at one end of the room. My dear husband so sweetly cut another hole in the ceiling and ran wires for a second light. Before we actually had the room finished we purchased our table. Our table is 10' long, so I thought it would look nicer if we had 3 light fixtures instead of 2. So Mike gave into my wishes and had to cut 3 new holes (the other 2 weren't centered to have one in the middle). I had to patch the holes that were made, but it was well worth it. Mike is so good to me that he put in 5 recessed lights & one main light fixture (that matches my dining room & living room lights) in my kitchen.

I am also very thankful for GE Reveal bulbs, I love the true white light that they give.

If you are grateful this month you can join in on the Gratitude Challenge.

I understand. I need a lot of light. My husband laughs at me because I can't work without a light. Enjoy yours... they're beautiful.

I understand about the light, too. We thought we would homeschool in the basement when we bought this house. Yet it only has one window, which is covered by the back deck. The drop-down ceiling has fluorescent lights. I honestly prefer to school by the dining room windows.

I'm particular about lighting, too. Especially since I get migraines. Fluorescent lights are agonizing! Your fixtures look so nice!

We did the same thing!!! We just needed more light for school work. We have a solar tube in the dining room but in the winter it just wasn't enough light (took out the wimpy chandelier for the solar tube). So we hung 2 other lights on either side of that solar tube. Love the bright whites :)

Oh yes, ambiance makes such a difference. We actually took down two chandelier-like fixtures from our old house and brought them with us to the new one! I love your wrought-iron candleholder there on the wall. Thanks for visiting yesterday!
